Help & FAQ 🐛🐟ðŸĶ‘ðŸĶī🖞ïļ

Find answers to common questions about your island field guide. We're here to help you complete your museum collections!

How do I mark something as collected?

expand_more
Simply tap on the critter, fossil, or art piece card in the Guide section. A checkmark icon will appear to indicate it's been caught and added to your personal collection. This data is saved instantly to your device.

How do I spot fake art from Redd?

expand_more
Every art piece has a dedicated detail page in the guide. When you tap on a painting or statue, the detail view will include specific forgery identification tips, highlighting the visual differences between the genuine masterpiece and the fake version sold by Redd.

Resetting Progress

expand_more
If you want to start your island journey over, navigate to the Settings panel and select "Clear All Data." Warning: This action is permanent and will remove all your caught status logs from this device.

Data Syncing (Local Only)

expand_more
AC Pocket Field Guide currently uses local device storage only. Your data remains on your device and does not sync across different devices automatically. We recommend using the same device for the most consistent tracking experience.

Hemisphere Selection

expand_more
You can toggle between the Northern and Southern Hemisphere in the main filter bar. This will adjust the "Available Now" sections to match the real-time seasonality of your specific island location.

What is Custom Time Zone?

expand_more
The Custom Time Zone setting allows you to override the app's default behavior of using your device's system time. This is useful if you live in a different time zone than your game island or if you are time traveling and want the guide to sync with your in-game clock.

Custom Time & Time Traveling

expand_more
For those who time travel, we offer a "Custom Time" override. Access the clock icon in the top right of the Guide page to set a manual date and time, ensuring the guide reflects the items currently active in your game's timeline.
